* Ava and EK are just now 5 months! I can't believe it. I know people say this all the time, but REALLY, where did the time go? What have I been doing all this time? Not cleaning, that's for sure.
* Ava was 15.8 pounds, and Emma Kate was 15.6 pounds last week at the Dr's office.
* They are wearing 6 month clothes and starting some 9 months. They have OODLES upon OODLES of 6 month clothes. They could never possibly wear every outfit, which makes me super sad. We've been so blessed to have so many people buy for them.
* They are in pushing the size 2 diaper. We still have some boxes of these left, so hopefully they can use them a bit longer since we used up our "take back quota" at Target. People, GIFT RECEIPTS are vital for baby presents. I never realized how important they were until now. Now I'm a Target girl, but apparently you can only return up to $200 without a receipt per year... we are starting to use family members to help us with this since Chris and I have both used up our quotas. Haha! The system and the idea, I understand, yes. However, if someone is registered in your system for a baby or wedding registry, they should STAY in the system for longer than 3 months so that they are able to exchange presents that they registered for. Does that make sense?
**BTW, we still haven't had to buy diapers for the girls. Is that not the wildest thing ever? I'm amazed how God provides for us and gives us such great, loving, and giving friends and family. Praise the Lord for sweet, sweet souls!
* They are LOVING baby food: apples, peaches, bananas, squash, and this week- carrots!
* We're practicing holding bottles and sitting up. We are weeding out the bouncey seat and introducing them to Bumbo seats (made in South Africa- which I thought was cool.)
* They are loving "tummy time" more and more... EK rolled over for the first time Saturday. Come on, Ava!
* Favorite toy: Exer-caucer
* they. drool. all. the. time.
they. drool. all. the. time.
they. drool. all. the. time.
they. drool. all. the. time.
* Ava has been sick today with drainage in her throat, causing her to spit up pretty badly... Usually, all over me. We're trying to be persistent with the humidifier, vapor baths, steam from the shower, and sitting her up after eating.
* First beach trip: 1 month from today (if this oil spill crisis gets under control)! I desparately NEED to see the ocean and feel sand between my toes.
Here are a few Easter pictures that a friend from church took. Kelsey did an amazing job. We are going to miss her this summer while she is at camp.
