My 1st Mother's Day!

Today was my first ever Mother's Day! I was so excited to spend it with my babies that I couldn't ask for anything more. They were dedicated at church this morning- the BEST gift for a Momma ever! They did so great. They didn't make a peep. We were able to meet Chris's family and the rest of the families participating in parent-child dedication to eat breakfast before the service started. There was a breakfast casserole that was delish! Momma loves her some breakfast! Momma loves her some food, period.

For the dedication, they received little certificates and bitty pink Bibles wrapped in the prettiest white cloth... so precious. We were given a parenting book as well. We had so many family and friends there. I was  excited to see all the people that came out to support us as parents to Ava and Emma Kate. After the dedication, members of the church came to lay hands on us. Then we sang "Jesus Loves Me" as a congregation. It was a sweet time for us, and one that I will always remember.

After service, we headed to Chris's parent's to eat BBQ and spend time with the family. I'm blessed to be adopted in by such a sweet, loving family. I feel like they are mine. I can truthfully say that I love everyone of them. They are always so warm and kind hearted. Aunt Meri bought the babies their first prayer book as a gift for their dedication. I can't wait to read it to them. Tonight was a little hectic and off schedule, but hopefully tomorrow night!

Mimi (Chris's mom) got the girls two BEAUTIFUL pearl bracelets. I'm absolutely in love with them. The babies are already classy and stylish. Their pearls match my pearl necklace perfectly... I love that we will all three match.

We had to take the girls for the rounds to visit my mom, Nina, and Aunt Pam. My mom and aunt got me the exact same card- too funny! It was good to go out and visit everyone. Chris's mom also got me a book and a picture frame and picture of the girls. I'm so blessed and grateful for everything. I love all the special women in my life that have blessed my heart. I'm a better person from knowing them. I love you, Momma and Nina!

** I wrote this post last night, but apparently, didn't post it! Oops!**

  1. Happy late Mother's Day. I am about to start a Bible study on that Beth Moore's book. Looks like you got some good stuff, especially the Godiva chocolate. I finally have a blog now: http://rachelscouponadventure.blogspot.com.
